Most of us fix our mindset that Sunday is Biryani Day or like any other special day as Biryani Day. Most of us enjoy having Biryani which is so delicious. So, Today let us know some unknown facts about “World Famous Biryani”.
Founder of Biryani: ‘Asaf Jah 1’
The crown dish of the Hyderabadi Muslims, Hyderabadi biryani is developed under the rule of Asaf Jah I, who was first appointed as the governor of Deccan by the Mughal Emperor Aurangzeb. It is made with basmati rice, spices and goat meat.

Origin of Biryani:
The word Biryani is derived from the Persian word Birian, which means 'fried before cooking' and Birinj, the Persian word for rice. Many historians believe that biryani originated from Persia and was brought to India by the Mughals. Biryani was further developed in the Mughal royal kitchen.
Records of Biryani:
The largest biryani dish weighed 14.060 tonnes (30,996 lb) and was prepared by Kohinoor Foods Ltd. (India) in Delhi, India, on 1 March 2008.
Last but not least, Biryani isn’t unhealthy, when thought is put into making it in healthier way like reducing the amount of oil, yolks, and adding more fiber ingredients like leaves- mint.
