Basic Workout Plan
Hello folks. Welcome back to Akshaya's Blogging World. Today I came up with a basic plan for workout (for beginners). The workout plan includes three stages- Warm up, Main Movements and Cool Down. The basic plan is as follows-
Basic workout plan-
Warm up: It helps to increase body and muscle temperature which helps to prevent risk of injury and also increases flexibility.
1. Jumping Jacks (Recommended reps:25-40)
2. High Knees/Butt Kicks (Recommended reps:20-30)
3.Hip Rotations(Recommended reps:16-24 both sides)
Main Movements: Main movements obviously play main role in workout. It increases flexibility and co ordination. It also improves balance and posture.
1.Squats(Recommended reps:15-25)
2.Lunges(Recommended reps:12-20)
3.Push ups(Recommended reps:15-25)
4.Burpees (Recommended reps:8-16)
5.Crunches(Recommended reps:8-20)
You can take a break of 15-30 seconds between each movement.
Cool Down: After exercise, your blood is heavy in your extremities and heart rate is usually elevated. Cool down should be done to return heart rate close to resting. It also helps in stretching and relaxation of body muscles. Stopping quickly without a cool down results in fainting, dizziness or light headedness.
1.Plank (30-60 seconds)
2.Quad Stretch (15 seconds each side)
3.Cobra Stretch (25-40 seconds)
4.Downward Dog (25-40 seconds)
5.Child's Pose (25-40 seconds)
and then you are done with your workout for the day.
